- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
Also known as a digital x-ray, a radiograph is a kind of photograph that can inspect the inside of your pet's body to discover information that we may not be able to see from the outside.
A completely non-invasive, painless, and safe tool, radiography uses very low levels of radiation, so even young pets and pregnant females are able to have a radiograph done.
Radiographs may be used to check organs and bones, and to diagnose certain conditions including spinal cord diseases, broken bones, chronic arthritis, bladder stones, and some tumors.
- Ultrasound
During an ultrasound, part of your pet's body is exposed to high-frequency sound waves to generate pictures of the inside of the body.
Ultrasound images are captured in real-time and reveal the movement and structure of the body's internal organs, in addition to blood flowing through blood vessels.
- CT Scan (Computed Tomography)
This non-invasive, advanced diagnostic machine helps our specialists observe your pet's internal anatomy by producing extremely detailed cross-sectional images.
CT scans are often used in the process of planning surgeries and diagnosing diseases. They also help us detect and treat cancer early.
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, and other internal body structures.
The images can then be examined on a computer monitor or printed.
- Endoscopy
An endoscope is made of a small camera and light attached to the end of a flexible tube.
During an endoscopy, a long, thin tube is inserted directly into the body to see tissue or an internal organ up close.
Endoscopes are minimally invasive and can be put into openings of the body, including the mouth or anus.
